Charlamagne Tha God shared an interesting revelation during his podcast on Friday, mentioning that a source told him former President Trump’s appearance on a recent show could be the key to getting him re-elected.

As reported by Fox News, a major aspect of Trump’s current media strategy is engaging with podcasts, particularly to capture the attention of younger male voters.

Former U.S. President and current Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump speaks to more than 2,000 supporters inside the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie on Sept. 29, 2024.

One notable appearance that caught a lot of attention was on the “Flagrant” podcast, hosted by comedian Andrew Schulz, last week.

Afterward, on their joint podcast “Brilliant Idiots,” Charlamagne discussed the reaction with Schulz, revealing that someone gave him a prediction so striking, he had to keep the person’s identity hidden.

He shared, “A young, Black man, 20-something years old, I’m not gonna say his name. I should say his name… He comes to me this morning, he turns to me, he goes, ‘Flagrant is gonna get Trump elected.’”

Schulz responded with laughter, saying, “The interview was fire, bro. I don’t know what else to say.”

The two hosts then dove into a conversation about Trump’s humor and charisma, which many feel makes him stand out against Vice President Kamala Harris. Schulz pointed out how Harris often seems overly cautious, worried about losing her perceived advantage.

Democratic presidential nominee and current U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris speaks during a rally at Erie Insurance Arena in Erie on Oct. 14, 2024.

Charlamagne chimed in, highlighting the current polling numbers and stating, “There’s nothing about the poll numbers that we’re seeing right now that should make anybody feel like she’s got this.”

The discussion even compared Harris’s current campaign to Hillary Clinton’s ill-fated 2016 run. “There’s nothing about the poll numbers that we’re seeing right now that should make anybody feel like she’s got this,” Charlamagne said.

During Trump’s appearance on “Flagrant,” his humor was on full display, leaving the hosts in fits of laughter. At one point, Trump even joked about Biden’s ability to sleep.

“He has one ability that I don’t have — he sleeps,” Trump said. “He can sleep! This guy goes on a beach, and he lays down on one of those 6-ounce [chairs]. They weigh 6 ounces, and he can’t lift it. They’re meant for children, young people, and old people to lift. They’re aluminum, you know, hollow aluminum, they weigh very little, and he can’t lift.”

He didn’t stop there, adding, “Somebody convinced him he looks good in a bathing suit, and when you’re 82, typically bathing suits aren’t gonna make you look great.”

Charlamagne also recently criticized the Harris campaign, especially their messaging on global politics, calling it “out of touch” with the issues facing Americans today.

By contrast, Trump and his running mate JD Vance are tapping into the concerns of the people, especially with slogans like “America First” and “Make America Great Again.” According to Charlamagne, this messaging resonates much more with voters, adding, “Not sometimes, it does resonate a lot more.”
